In Southwest Florida, farmers markets flourish year-round. And the open-air wholesales are hands-down the best way to get not just fresh produce, but handmade crafts and creations. There’s something new to see almost every day of the week at these free and friendly farmers markets throughout or islands, beaches and neighborhoods. Dates can vary, so be sure to check each website before visiting.
Fort Myers:
Lakes Park Farmers Market – Wednesdays, October through May
A Wednesday walk in the park should include the Lakes Park Farmers Market. It’s one of the area’s largest and includes all the farm market staples plus live music and a beautiful setting.
Captiva:
Captiva Island Farmers Market – Tuesdays, November through May
This market is located at the entrance of South Seas Island Resort. It features just-picked produce, fresh cut flowers, candles, meats and more. The Captiva Island Farmers Market also touts handmade crafts on certain Tuesdays.

Sanibel:
Sanibel Island Farmers Market – Sundays, October through May

Santini Market – Tuesdays and Thursdays, November through April
As one of the original Southwest Florida farmers markets, Santini Market offers a wide array of food choices, arts, crafts and other things that will delight every member of your family or group. Fort Myers Beach Market - Fridays and Saturdays, January through May
The Fort Myers Beach Market offers international gourmet foods, boutique clothing, jewelry, FMB T-shirts, arts, crafts and more. It's located on Old San Carlos across from SOB's and within walking distance of the beach, Margaritaville, Matanzas Inn and Lighthouse Resort.
Estero/Bonita Springs:
Coconut Point Farmers Market – Thursdays, October through April
Honey, hats and a colorful assortment of handcrafts are displayed on Thursdays in front of Panera, and plentiful parking at the Coconut Point Mall makes this market easily accessible to everyone. Head here for a big variety of vendors.
Bonita Springs Farmers Market – Saturdays, October through May
The Bonita Springs Farmers Market brings a sizeable selection of fresh Florida produce and products. This very popular market can get crowded later in the day, so going early is your best bet.
